I am a SAHMom to our homeschooled boys Wheaton {Wheat}, Lakelon {Lake}, and River. In 1997 I married the hottest bald man on the planet. We love our Creator, life, our earth and our families. When I was a young child, God gave me a heart for the orphan. James 1: 27 says “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” After 12 years of marriage and when our youngest, River, turned four, we became foster parents for the state of Tennessee. During our first eighteen months we took in and parented nine children, six of which have moved back home with their parents. In November 2011, we adopted our angelic twins, Blu Belle & Everest, at 9 months of age. We were blessed to bring them home from the hospital and be the only mommy and daddy they’ve ever known. We also have a 3 year old foster son who we affectionately call “JJ” (and sometimes “Bags” but don’t ask me why because I don’t know the answer) who we have parented for two years and who we are hoping and praying will very soon be ours forever as well. It is a wild journey and indeed one that without God we wouldn’t have the strength to withstand.
